Our history
A journey through more than 100 years of sawmill tradition
Founded as a wagon workshop
In 1920, Sägewerk Braun was founded as a wagon workshop.
Expansion into a sawmill
After just a few years, the wagon workshop was expanded by a small sawmill. From then on the focus shifted to the sawmill, which has been steadily expanded over the years.
Expansion of business areas
Since 1990 the business has been expanded to include additional areas: planing mill, CNC-controlled timber framing system, a timber market for end customers and industrial packaging.
Relocation to Max-Brose-Straße
In 2007 the company relocated from Seestraße to Max-Brose-Straße.
Construction of the new timber market
Planning and construction of a new, modern timber market to expand our range and services.
